Assume your device holds the authoritative copy of your archive unless you explicitly enable sync.
Account-backed features
If you use a HelloMnemo account, encrypted sync may upload ciphertext dataset and media blobs to HelloMnemo infrastructure. The intent is that your content is not handled as plaintext for everyday operations.
